21 year old female presented with a palpable painless breast lump. On ultrasound, there is a 1.7 x 1.3cm mass at 9 o’clock in her right breast. The mass is solid, oval in shape, fairly homogenous echotexture and posterior enhancement. These are consistent with fibroadenoma.
The mass is not vascular.
At 10 o’clock, there is a small 0.5cm cyst. There is a mural nodule arising from its wall. This is a complex cyst.
A repeat scan 3 months later showing slight reduction in the size of the fibroadenoma. The complex cyst however, has resolved completely.
